"Pattanathil Bhootham vs. Brahmaram" alias "Mammooty v/s Mohan lal"......[June 8, 2009]

Mammootty's fantasy-filled adventure Pattanathil Bhootham and Mohanlal's Blessy directed Bhramaram will be released on same day, June 25.

Starring Mammootty in a double role as an adventurous bike rider and a friendly ghost, Pattanathil Bhootham was originally scheduled for release on May 14, but got delayed due to delay in completion of its graphic work. Produced under the banner of Hi Bright Movie Creations, Pattanathil Bhootham has Kavya Madhavan as the heroine opposite Mammootty for the first time in her career. Some say its distributer requested Mohanlal to film to postpone his film's release to July, as they do not want an unnecessary clash.

Bhramaram is produced by Raju Mallyath and Zulfikar under the banner of Yuvan Entertainments and has popular Tamil-Telugu-Hindi actress Bhumika Chawla in the female lead.

Bhavana or Mamtha in "Asal" ?? {Nedhindhar blogspot exclusive}

Ultimate Star Ajith's much-hyped forthcoming Tamil film Asal, directed by Charan and produced by Sivaji Productions, never ceases to surprise us! The film recently evoked sudden surprise when ravishing actress-singer Mamta Mohandas claimed that she has decided to opt out of Asal, after she found that she would have to share screen space with film's lead lady Sameera Reddy.

Though there has been no confirmation from the producers about Mamta being part of the cast as the second heroine, it was later heard that another young lady has been taken on board. Santhanu Bhagiyaraj in ‘Angel John’ [Thursday, June 04, 2009]

Though his big launch in Kollywood with the movie ‘Sakkarakatti’ has gone awry, young actor Santhanu Bhagiyaraj has bagged a bigger break in Mollywood, with a movie distributed by superstar Mohanlal's home banner.

Santhanu will debut in Malayalam with the film titled ‘Angel John’, direction of Jayasurya (Speed Track fame).

Superstar Mohanlal will also appear in an important role in this movie, which will tell the story of an aim less young man named Maradonna, the only son of bank employee, Joseph. When his every plans to find success in life turn futile, he decides to commit suicide by walking into the sea. Mohanlal will appear as a stranger who comes up as a Saviour of the young man and changes his life.

Made under the banner of Creative Team ‘Angel John’ will be written and directed by Jayasurya. Distributed by Max Lab entertainments, the movie will start its shoot by the first of July.

Alexander, to Bombay [Friday, June 05, 2009]

The shooting of ‘Alexander, The Great’- the new movie by Mohanlal, has been shifted to Mumbai. The movie which completed the shooting of a few sequences in the capital city, will have yet another session at Dubai, before getting completed.

Directed by Murali Nagavally, the movie is a family thriller in which superstar essays the role of Alexander Varma, a person with an extraordinary IQ. Alexander Varma has the intelligence to succeed in whatever he tries his hand at, but is even jailed for an offence he has not committed. The movie also have Bala, Jagadheesh, Saikumar and Innocent in important roles. Scripted by Balachandran, the movie is produced by VBK Menon.

Dileep as a journalist [Friday, June 05, 2009]

After donning the role of a visual media journalist in the movie ‘Calcutta News’, Dileep is back to do the same in a new movie.

This new project to be directed by cinematographer P Sukumar, will be scripted by Kalavoor Ravikumar. The movie will be produced by Madhuwarrier and P Sukumar in the banner of Colour Factory. The other cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

Meanwhile, Dileep has also agreed to be in the central character of the new movie titled ‘Pappi Appacha’ produced by his own brother Anoop. This funny movie directed by Mams Chandran will be the Christmas release of the star.

Gracy Singh in Malayalam [Thursday, June 04, 2009]

The beauty who mesmerized the Indian movie industry with her debut film ‘Lagaan’ will be shortly seen in Malayalam. Yes, Gracy Singh, the actress who hit big time with the super hit movie, will be seen as the heroine to Mammootty in the new movie ‘Loudspeaker’ directed by Jayaraj. She will present the role of Annie, a nurse in a private hospital.

‘Loudspeaker’ is also the coming together of the team which created the cult movie of nineties ‘Johny waljer’. Director Jayaraj, scriptwriter Ranjith and Superstar Mammootty were in this team, who created this campus visual treat 16 years ago.
